MyOPAC PreferencesOnce configured, MyOPAC Preferences will be in effect whenever you log in. If you have not configured your MyOPAC Preferences yet, you will be prompted to do so the first time you log in after your library enables this feature. You can change your MyOPAC Preferences anytime thereafter by going to the Search Preferences screen.
You can access the Search Preferences screen in one of the following three ways:
Click the Preferences button in the top toolbar section,
Click the Preferences text link in the bottom toolbar section, or
Click the Preferences button from the Patron Information screen.
If you are not logged in, this will take you to the Login screen. Login now. Once logged in, this will activate the Search Preferences screen.
The default values which your library has chosen will be selected on the Search Preferences screen. There are three sections of the MyOPAC Preferences screen which can be enabled in any combination. If one (or more) of these sections is not available for selection, it has not been enabled by your library. These 3 three sections are: Search Type, Records Per Page, and Databases.
Set your preferences per section:
Search Type-
Records Per Page-
Databases-
Remember that all of these databases (if you select more than one) will be connected to each time you perform a search, until or unless you go to the Databases page and change them, or change them in your MyOPAC Preferences. To avoid slowing your searches down, only select databases you want to connect to in the course of your normal searching. For special databases you only search once in a while, go to the Databases page and add those before searching.
